All About Austin

Originally from the 'Sunshine State', Austin has always tried to inject a little bit of sunshine in everything he does. As a child, Austin was encouraged by his parents to spend as much time as possible outdoors, resulting in a childhood full of muddy and sandy knees! He was also encouraged to enroll in a variety of Martial Arts programs where he learned the value and balance and discipline.

Austin attended a technical high school where he focused on architectural engineering. Through this training, Austin was introduced to the world of theatre. Austin’s practical skills in design and carpentry lead to his first job in the industry as the principal designer and carpenter for his high school and local theater company. A spur of the moment audition at 15 landed Austin his first role as Mr. Mushnik in 'Little Shop of Horrors'. This role lead to many more, and seven shows later, Austin moved to New York City with a backpack and $37 in his pocket. Austin studied acting at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts where through handwork and support of the Academy staff, Austin found a deeper respect for the craft of acting.

Alongside his work as an actor, Austin is an avid musician. Growing up Austin was exposed to both heavy metal and 90s R&B which fostered his love of music. When at 8 years old his father's guitar fell on his head, he decided to give it a go! Ever since, Austin has been writing and performing music and has recently started teaching himself the piano.

When Austin is not on stage or playing music, you will find him in the kitchen. An avid home chef, taking culinary classes from the ages of 15 to 18, Austin treasures sharing his Southern comforts with his loved ones. But most importantly, giving his puppy Cosmo little bits from every meal!
